Apple is cooking up a NEW iPhone ! maybe ?

Traces in the new iPhone firmware 2.2.1 reveal the new iPhone model named iPhone 2,1
The first generation of iPhone was known under the name of “iPhone 1,1” while the iphone 3G was named “iPhone 1,2 “. These denominations do not change in the event of increase in the size of the hard drive but only in the event of different functionalities!

In a similar way we also noted that the iPod Touch, whose name of origin was known as “iPod 1,1” became “iPod 2,1” since one added there a loudspeaker, a control of volume, a microphone and a processor much more powerful than the first generation.

This new number of model of iPhone (2,1) was found in the USBDeviceConfiguration.plist file which was in a nonencrypted firmware.

iPod Touch v1 = iPod 1,1
iPod Touch v2 = iPod 2,1
iPhone v2 = iPhone 1,1
iPhone 3G = iPhone 1,2
iPhone ?? = iPhone 2,1 … (new model ?)
