Jiggler: No sleep for the mac!

Jiggler is a little freeware app with one purpose: to keep your Mac awake.
When you have some lengthy task for your computer to do, it’s annoying
to have to turn off your screensaver and turn off the sleep timer, only to
have to turn it all back on again when you’re done. (The “never sleep”
corner will keep your screensaver from kicking in, but still won’t prevent
your machine from falling asleep).

What you really want is a little helper who will bump your mouse every once
in a while to keep your machine alert.

First Macbook hacked @ CanSecWest 2007 !

A Macbook Pro with the latest security updates was hacked on a hacking contest.
Macaulay, a software engineer, was able to hack into a MacBook
through a zero-day security hole in Apple’s Safari browser.

Dai Zovi, a security researcher until recently with Matasano Security who has
previously been credited by Apple for finding flaws in Mac software, found the
Safari vulnerability and wrote the exploit overnight in about 9 hours!

Currently, every copy of OS X out there now is vulnerable to this!

We would expect Apple to issue a update for Safari to close this hole ASAP.
CanSecWest’s contest has helped to make Safari more secure.

CanSecWest blog stated that technical details will be forthcoming as the winner
works out the release!
