10.4.8 Kernel AMD w/ GUI: “Nebukadnezar”!

The last version of semthex 10.4.8 kernel is finally available for AMD,
allowing them to boot to full GUI!

The following features are now fully implemented:

- VMWare support
- FULL AMD support with GUI (all neccessary interfaces provided)
- free FSB selection
- CPU autodetection *NEW!*

This is still in beta stage and heavily tested. So please be patient,
or contribute to beta testing in #kernel channel @ irc.macspeak.net

SSE2 support is still to come.

Here are some good news from the front!

The CPUID checks that are preventing AMD GUI to work have been emulated.
Expect a full features release very soon :)

Semthex brings 10.4.8 kernel to AMD !

Here is the first screenshot I got from semthex,
you can see 10.4.8 kernel running inside VMWare.

W00t! It should also be working for AMD boxes.
More info as soon as Myzar finish to test it on AMD.

FSB frequency autodetection in kernel 10.4.8

Good news.

Mifki just added an extra feature to his kernel that is automatic detection
of your FSB frequency, so you don’t need to specify it at boot time anymore :)

You should test this as some reported it works, and some not.
