App store is live before the iPhone beta 2.0 firmware has even been officially released.
We got the chance to download the latest iPhone 2.0 firmware and installed it.

Optus will be the first Australian mobile carrier to distribute the iPhone
at midnight on Thursday, followed by Telstra and Vodafone early on Friday morning.
The iPhone 3G will be available in stores this friday 11th July 2008.
