Why the hell didn’t Apple made MMS feature available in the new iPhone OS 3.0 for iPhone v1 users ? Well, you got it, it’s pure marketing, all they want is sell new iPhones at huge prices! Common Apple gives us all the neat features to us poor iPhone v1 users.

Anyway, here is how you can activate MMS on an iPhone v1 :

- You need to install iPhone OS 3.0 of course, doh !
- Jailbreak it : link
- Open Cydia
- Install the application ActivateMMS2G
- Reboot your iPhone

iPhone v1 user : 1 – Apple : 0

Only 2 days after the official release of the iPhone OS 3.0, the Dev Team has released a solution to jailbreak. Their software is called PwnageTool, you may already have heard of it ;) Then few days later, they released a second tool called RedSn0w which is in fact the successor of QuickPwn, probably they changed the name because of all the scams around QuickPwn, like QuickPwn.com & co.

Be aware that if you need a software unlock, it is not available yet, but should be anytime soon via Cydia. It’s called Ultrasn0w and will be available via APT, and therefore Cydia or Icy. We recommend you use Cydia.

After the jailbreak, you can install third party apps from Cydia, or you can get cracked apps!

Apple finally released today the long-awaited iPhone OS 3.0 so everyone can install it from iTunes. We would like to thank all of our beta testers than joined the ride to test the iPhone OS 3.0 betas. The latest build that Apple released to the public is the same we offered.
