Blackra1n : Universal jailbreak for OS 3.1.2

Georges Hotz aka Geohot, the famous kid who made the first unlock for the iPhone, released today his universal jailbreak software that should work on any device with 3.0+ firmware, including the latest 3.1.2 update. The software currently only works on Windows.

Blackra1n is able to jailbreak any device that was updated via iTunes to 3.1.2 in 30 seconds!

You must own a legit iPhone 3G to use it, stay away if you need hacktivation or unlock!

I just tried th software on Windows 7, but it crashes when I click on the “Make it ra1n” button. Guess it's only compatible with Windows XP right now…

You need to install the latest version of iTunes before proceeding, completely forgot it! This jailbreak works very well in less than 30 seconds as stated!

I have successfully jailbroken both my iPhone v1 and iPhone 3GS running iPhone OS 3.1.2 under Windows 7 with Blackra1n. But remember, you need to be officially unlocked by Apple to use this jailbreak. Do not attempt if you need unlock.
