Just donated €20, I had one of the first US iPhones and hacked it, since then just about everyone I know has bought US iPhones and hacked them (I’m British). Sadly mine was stolen last week in Dakar, Senegal so I’m about to get a new one but it will be 1.1.2 so I’d like to do my bit to help you guys hack them.

What is the action plan once you activate the phone at Orange?
What are you going to do during the unlock procedure? are you going to sniff packets sent from apple to iphone via you pc? what analysis is going to take place? can you please brief us? maybe we can contribute as well with ideas?

Hi Macgeek. This sounds very nice. I assume they are using an encryption algo. Good luck with that part to unbreak the packets from the sniffer trace.

On the other hand, do you have any machines to sniff GMS data?

It might require 2 keys to unlock this phone. One coming from the provider (orange) via GPRS and the other from apple.

A third theory could be a key in the Sim card itself.

Worst case scenario is all 3 :)

It has just another kind of Lock…
In place of having a Orange Lock, you got an Orange + SFR + Bouygues Lock !

Hello.. I live in Thailand and I was planning to order an iPhone for me from the US. I have been looking for a solution for unlocking OTB 1.1.2 iPhones for a week now and I found this site. I really need to know whether this unlock that is being talked about here is guaranteed. If not, will there ever be an unlock and by when? Thank you.

DjRamos, this is probably an iPhone with the old bootloader 3.9, not the new 4.6.

DjRamos, this is a 3.9 bootloader by checking the serial number on the movie it says week 40 (3to4 char.). Let’s hope macgeek find out a solution. Regards, RB
