OTB 1.1.2 iPhone unlock is coming soon!

Some more interesting news in the battle against out-of-the-box 1.1.2 iPhones!
Here is a small clarification of the problem, and the current status.

All the US iPhones that came on week 45 and after have the 1.1.2 firmeware,
with the new bootloader version 4.6. Those phones can still be jailbroken and activated,
but there is no software sim unlock solution yet.

The new 4.6 bootloader has fixed the exploit allowing to run unsigned code,
reflash modem baseband firmware. This new bootloader must be analysed, so it
has to be dumped!

TA_MOBILE from Vietnam has successfully dumped it!

since im not in the US (im in the Philippines) ive bought an ipod touch since then ive grown familiar with the terminologies of unlocking and jailbreaking so i decided to buy an Iphone i just opened it yesterday. I was dismayed because it has version 1.1.2 pre-installed on it now i have basically two ipod touches the only difference is the other one has a silver lining. lols.

Don't worry, help is coming your way... till then just jailbreak and enjoy other features: WIFI, IPOD, etc... Nothing is impossible!! So stay tuned!!

does anyone knows when its goingo to be possible to unlock an out of the box iphone 1.1.2 so i could make phone calls? i cant wait to get a notice that allows me unlocked my iphone...im writing from chile, so any news taht someone could give me i would be appreciate

Thats the greatest news ever! Cant wait for it.

I have out of the box iPhone 1.1.2. I downgraded it to 1.1.1 and 1.0.2. But, my base band still remains 04.01.13_G. Terminal failed to put 03.14.08_G on my phone.

But now i can use all functions on the iPhone BUT cant make calls.

I m waiting... thanx a lot guys

How do i jailbreak an out of the box 1.1.2 than? I know how to do it to a 1.1.1, can i get some help?

TurboSim method could be fixed by Apple in the next firmware upgrade. It relies on a firmware exploit. It is not the definitive unlock method unfortunately.

A Turbo Sim is very practical. It has never bricked up on me, and I never have to freak out about if the next firmware update is going to work on my phone or not..it always does. Now that people are aware that TSim unlockes a 1.1.2 OTB, Bladox had to shut down their website temporarily in order to catch up with orders.

Brent Henrikson, you can ulock with Turbo Sim but it is not vey praticial. I am looking fwd for this new release. Apple will be very happy :-)

You can unlock an out of the box 1.1.2 with a programmed Turbo Sim.

Yes, when released it should work for all 1.1.2 OTB phones, independently of where you bought it

Good news! Two theoretical exploits have been found in the new bootloader 4.6 (OTB 1.1.2). Expect a 1.1.2 OTB unlock soon! I'll report when it comes out.
